       The 139th Canton Fair will kick off in Guangzhou on April 15. According to the Ministry of Commerce, as of April 1, pre-registrations from overseas buyers have exceeded 170,000, maintaining steady overall registration momentum.

        He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, stated that the number of leading purchasing enterprises attending this session keeps rising. A total of 279 major companies—including Walmart from the U.S., Sainsbury’s from the UK, and Samsung Electronics from South Korea—have confirmed their group participation.

        Overseas industrial and commercial organizations have also shown strong enthusiasm for registration. So far, 137 overseas chambers of commerce and trade promotion bodies, such as the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Mongolia Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Lima Chamber of Commerce in Peru, have signed up to take part.

        Boasting a total exhibition area of approximately 1.55 million square meters, the 139th Canton Fair is expected to attract over 30,000 exhibiting enterprises.

        The first phase will run from April 15 to 19, focusing on Advanced Manufacturing. Beyond traditional electromechanical categories like machinery, hardware tools, lighting and electrical equipment, this phase will showcase cutting-edge technologies and smart products across consumer electronics and home appliances, new energy vehicles & smart mobility, industrial automation, smart manufacturing, and new energy sectors. A dedicated service robot zone will also return to display China’s latest achievements in artificial intelligence.

        The second phase is scheduled for April 23 to 27, highlighting Quality Home Lifestyle. Three major segments—building materials & furniture, household goods, as well as gifts & decorations—each occupy an exhibition space of over 130,000 square meters, offering global buyers a diverse selection of premium home products.

        The third phase will take place from May 1 to 5, themed around Better Life. It features consumer-oriented categories including health and leisure products, toys, maternity and child supplies, and fashion goods. HuaDong Play will showcase its products at the fair to meet procurement demands from emerging consumption markets. A smart healthcare zone will also be set up to present innovative achievements in disease diagnosis, rehabilitation care and health management.
